When Avery isn't sure, she rings your team

Odd calls reach a person during office hours instead of hearing that no one can be reached.

Most calls fit neatly into a category: a new injury case, an existing client, an adjuster. A few don't. Starting today, when a call doesn't fit any of them, Avery rings your team during business hours instead of telling the caller that no one is available.

What changed#

A call that fits none of your categories now rings your team's normal order during business hours. The person who picks up hears Avery's brief first, so they know what the caller said, and they can still say "take a message" if it isn't for them. After hours, Avery takes a message, as before.

This is the default for every firm set up from today. If your firm was set up earlier, it keeps working as before until you ask us to switch it. Either way, you can change it in your dashboard.

Why it matters#

Picture a caller who says she's "calling about her late father's paperwork." She isn't a new injury case, an existing client or a vendor, and Avery can't tell which of your rules she belongs to. Before, she'd hear that no one could take the call right now. On a Tuesday at 2 pm, with three people in the office, that's a call your team would have wanted.

Now the first person on your list hears a short brief and decides: take it, or let Avery take a message.

How to turn it on#

Open Hours & routing in your dashboard and find the rule for Everyone else. Set who it rings and what happens after hours, then save. If your firm was set up before today and you'd like us to switch it for you, email hello@receptiva.ai.
